Distinguishing the Vomiting Type in Babies
Parents should be able to distinguish vomiting that requires urgent intervention. For parents who cannot distinguish between vomiting, the first months when the baby often vomits will be quite challenging and stressful. In addition to normal vomiting, there may also be vomiting indicating disease and requiring intervention. If the baby is vomiting with blood, vomiting is accompanied by a severe abdominal pain, swelling in the abdomen and high fever, it should be intervened immediately. Such situations can be a sign of serious illness. Therefore, if your baby shows these symptoms, you should consult your doctor as soon as possible. However, a normal vomiting can be prevented. Because normal vomiting is probably caused by situations where the baby is uncomfortable. For example, laying your baby immediately after feeding it causes the baby to vomit.

To prevent this, you should hold your baby upright for a while after feeding. Also, oversaturation of the baby causes vomiting. Therefore, it is important not to feed the baby too much. Frequent but little feeding will be much healthier for your baby. Trying to breastfeed while your baby is crying also causes vomiting. To prevent vomiting, you should not breastfeed while crying.

Vomiting Severity in Babies
The severity, time and amount of vomiting in babies is a determining feature of whether there is a problem. Especially newborn babies can remove the food left in their mouth during feeding in the first months. This happens not in the form of vomiting, but rather in the form of leakage. These vomiting in the form of leaks will heal spontaneously before the baby turns 1. The most important factors that distinguish a normal vomiting from a vomiting sign of disease are; the severity, time and amount of vomiting. In newborn babies, where the valve between the esophagus and the stomach is not fully developed, extra food is excreted from the body by vomiting. This type of vomiting will disappear as the baby grows older and begins to fully perform the valve function. But severe vomiting seen in the first 48 hours in newborn babies may indicate a disease related to the digestive system. Nausea and retching sound may also occur in babies who vomit with difficulty. Vomiting by gushing usually occurs with forced vomiting. Digestive problems and shortness of stomach can also spur, causing vomiting. Unless the doctor gives, no medicine should be given to the baby to prevent vomiting. The important thing is to eliminate the cause of vomiting.
