What Stages Does a Baby Go Through After Fertilization?

Fertilization is the name given to the fusion of the nuclei of the egg cell produced in the mother's ovaries and the sperm cell produced in the father's seminiferous tubules. Fertilization takes approximately 20 minutes after ejaculation. Fertilization takes place in the oviduct of the female individual. The finding of the sperm cell and the egg cell provides the secretion of Fertiliz, which is secreted by the egg cell. After fertilization, the embryo formed reaches the mother's uterus in approximately one week. The baby will continue to develop here until birth.

What Developmental Stages Does the Baby Go Through?

About 2 weeks (14 days) before fertilization occurs is considered the beginning of pregnancy. Because the last ovulation event, called ovulation, took place approximately during these periods. Pregnancy lasts approximately 40 weeks from a healthy mother. The first two weeks of this are considered pre-fertilization. The egg cell is formed by the cracking of the follicle cells in the ovaries.

Then this egg is given to the fallopian tube, one each month. If fertilization does not occur, this egg produced every month is thrown out with the menstrual cycle. If fertilization occurs, the resulting embryo attaches to the mother's uterus and continues to develop. The developmental stages of the baby are called segmentation steps. Segmentation steps begin immediately after fertilization. With rapid cell divisions, the baby's blood circulation and nervous system begin to form.

When Is The Best Time To Notice A Pregnancy?

The best time to notice pregnancy is in the fourth week. In the fourth week, the expectant mother may feel nausea and dizziness. After these symptoms, the expectant mother can learn whether she is pregnant with a pregnancy test she can get from the pharmacy.

A pregnant woman's blood values also change. Performing a blood test in the hospital to detect pregnancy is another pregnancy detection method. However, ultrasonographic imaging at the fourth week cannot be used to detect pregnancy.

How long is the baby held in the mother's womb?

The baby attaches to the mother's womb for about a week. Just before the baby attaches to the mother's womb, the endometrium layer thickens and becomes a soft tissue rich in blood vessels for the baby to grow. As the baby continues to develop, the amniotic sac and amniotic fluid are formed. The baby grows in the amniotic sac. As the baby attaches to the mother's womb, the placenta begins to form. The baby attaches to the placenta and in this way a structure called the umbilical cord is formed. The baby feeds and breathes from here until birth. About 38 weeks after fertilization, the baby is ready for birth.

How is the Hormonal Control of Pregnancy?

Every healthy female individual who has reached puberty produces an egg cell once a month by the development and cracking of the follicle cells in the ovaries from birth. The production of the egg cell takes place under the influence of the hormone FSH secreted from the pituitary of the ovaries. The egg cell produced by the effect of FSH hormone causes ovulation by cracking the follicle membrane with the effect of LH hormone.

Estrogen is a hormone produced in the ovaries that allows women to see female characteristics. Progesterone, on the other hand, allows the baby to attach to the mother's womb if fertilization occurs. If the mother is progesterone deficient, she may be at risk of miscarriage.
