Thrush is a sore that looks like small milk particles that come out in the mouth, which is more common in babies. It can be seen in the mouth as well as on the lips and cheeks. It is more common in breastfed babies. It is common in newborn babies and babies up to one year old. Thrush in babies should not be confused with herpes caused by the virus. Thrush should be recognized early and a doctor should be consulted.

Thrush Causes:

1- Damage to the oral tissue: It can be caused by biting the inside of the mouth or brushing hard teeth of older children.

2- Irregular Nutrition: According to a study conducted by experts, it has been revealed that iron deficiency is more common in infants with vitamin B12 deficiency.

3- It may be the reason why the baby's immune system does not work regularly.

4- Allergic Reaction May Be the Cause of Thrush. Although very rare, some babies may have an allergic reaction due to some foods they consume.

5- Stress: It is not known why the baby is stressed, but the uneasiness and stress experienced by the baby may be the cause of thrush.

6- Thrush is caused by candida infection, which is a type of fungus. This fungus can pass into the baby's respiratory tract and digestive tract.

How Is It Treated?

It would be beneficial to show a doctor who is an expert in his field.
